Shockheaded Peter
Shockheaded Peter is a delightfully macabre adaptation of 19th century German children’s book Der Struwwelpeter, which recounts misbehaving children and their dreadful ends. This punk opera adaptation, which opened on the West End in London in 1998 and ran for several world tours, cranks up both the comedy and Grand Guignol to 11. Our multi-generational, immersive staging examines how terrifying parenting can be, especially when we try and let children be their strange, independent selves. More details here!
Recommended for ages 10 and above. The performance experience is on rails; participants play the role of fellow children.
The Catamounts offers complimentary tickets to folks who volunteer to work a community meal shift. Volunteers should contact thecatamounts@gmail.com.
